From geopolitical pressures to moving towards cleaner fuels, the focus for this year’s Red Ensign Group (REG) Conference is developing strategic plans for the future, evolving to meet the demands of a changing industry.

Taking place next week in Bermuda, this year’s agenda reflects the clear shift towards a more strategic approach. Alongside discussions on fleet performance and regulatory developments, there will be a stronger focus on using data, audit outcomes and international frameworks to inform long-term priorities.

Future-focused issues, including innovation and seafarer training, will sit alongside maritime matters like security, resilience and sanctions, highlighting the broader global context in which the sector operates.

These changes aim to create a strategy that is more integrated and forward-looking, supporting the REG in maintaining high standards while responding to global change.

Bringing together maritime administrations from the United Kingdom, Crown Dependencies and Overseas Territories, the conference will also continue to play a central role in maintaining the strength and reputation of the British fleet.

The conference will be taking place from 30 June to 2 July.
