The Group will be actively involved in this major week-long event. Six British jurisdictions (Bermuda, BVI, Cayman Islands, Gibraltar, Jersey and the UK) will host a shipping reception on Wednesday 9 September. This will be held at the prestigious London offices of Ince and Co (leading shipping lawyers) overlooking Tower Bridge. The reception is a high-profile event that will bring together many leading shipowners, lawyers, brokers, shipyards, finance houses, senior politicians and of course the shipping registries themselves. The reception will focus on an underlying theme of 'Why register with the Red Ensign Group?' across all ship types and tonnage. At the same time, it will raise funds for the Mission to Seafarers.
The Group will attend the Conference on the Thursday and this will focus on how the maritime industry can be a real engine for economic growth. We will co-host host tables at the associated Gala Dinner and individual registries within the Group will be present at a number of events throughout the week.
London is the world capital for shipping business. By bring together key people in the industry, the Shipping Week offers a real chance to illustrate the advantages and differing strengths of the various Red Ensign Flags.
