We are sad to say that one of the Red Ensign Group family has passed away. Ronald Donovan was a stalwart in the REG and a much valued member of the British Virgin Islands Shipping Registry.
Ronald had given seventeen years’ service to maritime, with an unwavering commitment to his post as Registrar of Ships. He worked hard to improve and develop the register and his knowledge and expertise played a pivotal role in all that time.
More, he was a dear friend as well as a dedicated colleague not just to those he worked with but to the wider Red Ensign Group family. His sense of joy and fun, as well as his warmth made him many friends across the world.
We will not forget him, nor what he achieved and – most importantly – what he was to all of us. He will live on in our hearts and his contributions continue to inspire the work of maritime.
Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this time.
