Working together for the benefit of maritime

0583 Tf Day 2 (1)

Building relationships is a key part of the Red Ensign Group work.

Sharing expertise and finding solutions to challenges is always better together say Thecla Joseph, Director of Fisheries and Marine Resource Management, Turks and Caicos and  Ali Leighton, Overseas Strategic Policy Manager, MCA.

Thecla Joseph said: “This is all about working in partnership to make a difference in the maritime world. I’m excited to be a part of this work alongside women like Ali as we bring the particular skills we have to what we do. We are responsible for some of the most significant coastal areas in the world and it’s vital we do what’s right to preserve and protect it, while showing the benefits of maritime to the local economies.”

Ali Leighton said:  “We like a family – supportive, a critical friend when it’s needed but most of all, we are all committed to making a difference in maritime.

“Being part of this work, being here at Technical Forum which gives all of us the opportunity to put forward our ideas and opinions, really reminds us of why what we do matters.”
